My Bio
Hello! I'm Ann Cramp, the Founder of Riverina Psychology and Riverina Therapy Dogs in Wagga Wagga. In my private psychology practice (Riverina Psychology), I maintain a regular therapy caseload, offering clinical support and assessments. Separately, I am also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT) and a proud member of the Delta Institute. This dual expertise—combining my psychological training with my professional dog training skills—allows me to offer specialised mentorship through Riverina Therapy Dogs. I focus on training handlers (such as allied health professionals, teachers, and school support staff) who wish to train their dogs to be effective Therapy Dogs. My background as a psychologist is vital to this process. I bring a clinical understanding of the functional benefits of animal-assisted intervention, ensuring that the training is tailored to enhance well-being and meet specific support goals, particularly for clients with psychiatric and neurodivergent diagnoses. I actively work alongside my own dedicated, trained therapy dogs, Buster and Matilda, who happily demonstrate the profound calm and regulation that canine companionship can bring to a therapeutic setting.
